Our client is a financial services software provider to banks across the Australasia region. The client engaged DonRiver to develop a Microfinance Mobile Banking application for its current banking clients, and desired mobile operator clients.
The client defined the following objectives for the Microfinance Mobile Banking application:
- Provide account balance inquiry
- Provide micro-loan balance inquiry
- Show next loan repayment due date
- Enable person-to-person transfers
- Leverage existing DonRiver Mobile Commerce assets
This project utilized the resources of DonRiver in collaboration with the client's product and technology teams, to design, develop, and test the application. DonRiver also leveraged its pre-built Mobile Commerce Platform to expedite development using as many out-of-the-box functionalities as possible while still delivering all of the features required for the application.
The key aspects of the application that DonRiver delivered include the following:
- Allows users to register and enroll for mobile banking services. After enrolment, the subscriber utilized the mobile application to perform domestic peer-to-peer money transfers and repay outstanding loans through server side integration to the bank and remittance processors of financial institutions and remittance providers.
- Displayed account balance on a dashboard indicating savings account balance as well as loan account balance.
- Transaction history maintained on the server and retrieved by the mobile application.
