Once Again, DonRiver Delivers Near Perfect Data Migration into Amdocs OSS Inventory.

DonRiver recently helped the leading telecommunications carrier in Australia successfully migrate its HFC network data to Amdocs OSS Inventory with near–perfect results. The migration was a critical enabler for the carrier to launch a new strategic BSS / OSS solution for cable and pay TV service qualification and fulfillment.

The migration of the HFC network data represented a key component of an enterprise-wide program that affected a large number of OSS and BSS systems. To minimize operational disruptions, the client requested that DonRiver develop a data migration solution to address the program's specific volumetric and data integrity requirements. DonRiver delivered a bespoke data migration solution that resulted in the successful migration of more than 100 million records from multiple legacy systems into Amdocs OSS Inventory in less than 48 hours. The data included the carrier HFC Network together with pay TV, FTTP, and satellite serviceability information.

"We assembled a world-class team and achieved world-class results in what must rank as one of the largest Amdocs OSS Inventory data migrations in Asia/Pacific, if not globally" said John McVey, Director at DonRiver.

It was DonRiver's third major Amdocs OSS Inventory migration in two years that resulted in the successful migration exceeding 99.999 percent of source data.

"DonRiver was able to deliver a customized migration platform that placed emphasis on reliability and performance to minimize production outages," McVey said.

DonRiver has been working with this carrier since 2006, providing Amdocs OSS Inventory consulting, solution architecture, software development and data migration services. In mid 2008, DonRiver successfully migrated its IP/MPLS Core network into Amdocs OSS Inventory with a near-perfect success rate.
